I am a trial lawyer and former President of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. I’ve served on the Board of Governors of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, and am a fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation.
I frequently lecture on a variety of trial-related subjects for the American Association for Justice, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Suffolk University Law School, and the National Business Institute. I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (B.A.) (M.B.A.) and Suffolk University Law School.
My trial experience includes many jury verdicts and settlements in excess of $1 million. My cases have involved the areas of product liability, including automobile rollovers, defective cranes, defective trucks and tractors, and defective machinery; maritime accidents, including fishermen, longshoremen, line handlers and cruise ship passengers; construction accidents, automobile accidents, toxic exposures, breast implants, pharmaceutical drugs and devices, lead paint poisoning, and asbestos exposure.
My practice has taken me to the courts of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Missouri, and Illinois. I also serve as a mediator with the American Arbitrators Association and have been appointed as Special Master by judges of the Superior Court of Massachusetts.
I have been named in Best Lawyers in America for many years (including Lawyer of the Year, Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs, for the New England area in 2013), as well as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer, and as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the American Trial Lawyers Association. I am rated “AV,” the highest available rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a highly respected independent legal rating publisher.
